Services Held Wednesday for Mrs.Rushie " Ruth"Phillips Jones Funeral services for Mrs.Rushie " Ruth"Phillips Jones, who died at 11 a.m. Sunday at their home on Route 2, Mitchell, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Haverly Mortuary with the Rev. Daniel Garrison officiating. Burial followed in Chesthaven Memory Gardens. She was born June 9, 1894 in Kentucky, the daughter of James Henry and Nancy Jane Masters Kines, She married twice. First to Joseph Edward Phillips and he preceded her in death along with their infant child Raymond on November 12, 1918.She next married Elmer Cleveland Jones on June 2, 1919 and he died on March 6, 1965. Survivors include two sons, Paul Leslie Jones of Indianapolis and Edward Phillips of Mitchell; three daughters, Ruby Christine Phillips Tincher of Mitchell, Lois Marie Jones Dodds of Mitchell and Carol Jones Figg of Saut Ste.Marie, Michigan; 12 grandchildren and four great grqandchildr4en and one sister, Mrs. Martha Kines Tillette of Mitchell. One child preceded her in death. She was a member of the Baptist church at Nicholasville, Kentucky the Grandmothers Club and the Spring Mill Smile Club.
