Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum, Rayne, LA.
Surviving are wife, Doris Patin Lavergne of Rayne, three daughters, Cindy Nero and husband Roger, Loura Credeur and husband Dale, Penny Richard all of Rayne, LA, two sons, Jeffery Lavergne and wife Darlene of Duson, Todd Lavergne and wife Karen of Scott, Ten Grandchildren, Thirteen Great Grandchildren, three sisters, Vivian Boudreaux and husband Percy of Lafayette, Edna Hornsby of Rayne, Barbara Cormier of Rayne, two brothers, Raywood Lavergne and wife Donna of Lafayette, Ronnie Lavergne and fiance Linda Richard of Rayne.
He was preceded in death by parents, Lebodier Lavergne and Onezima Gautreaux Lavergne, one brother, Ephire Joseph "E.J." Lavergne.
A rosary will be recited Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA.
