child of George J. and Eloise (Warren)
Schaller. She graduated from Northwestern
University School of Commerce in
Evanston, Ill. in 1925.
Catherine was married in 1928 to
Wyatt L. Yon, and to this union were born
two children, Eloise and Wyatt. The family
lived in Moline and Chicago, Ill. before
moving to Storm Lake in 1934.
Catherine served as a Cub Scout Den
Mother and as a trustee of Lakeside Presbyterian
Church. She belonged to PEO
for 75 years and several bridge and study
clubs. Her main interest was her family.
She was preceded in death by her
husband Wyatt L. Yon; her parents; two
brothers, Edward and Earl; and a daughter-
in-law, Lola K. Yon.
