TOURNADE, Jr., William "Bill" Gustave, age 72, of Tampa, died in peace Wednesday, November 15, 2000. Left to cherish his memory are, brother, James W. Futch, Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Bernice Horne, Gainesville, Fla.; three children and their spouses, a son, William Gustave Tournade, III, Lynn Hathaway Tournade and two daughters, Bonnie Sue Tournade Zaner, Terry Lee Zaner and Sharon Irene Tournade Leach, Steve Leach; six grandchildren, Cheryl Lynn "Cheryl Bell", Kelly, Chad, and Aubrey Tournade; and Graham, and Ian Harris all of Tampa, Florida; numerous other loved ones. He was raised in Tampa, Florida and graduated from Hillsborough High School-Class of 1949. He enlisted in the United States Navy on January 19, 1945 and served his country in World War II on CO, USS Marlboro, as a Seaman Second Class until August 9, 1946. He worked for RCA/GE Company for 30 years at which time he retired. He served on the IBEW Local Union 108 Executive Board. One of his hobbies was collecting and working on firearms with his buddies. He loved to discuss aircraft and anything military. One of his greatest joys in life were airplanes, especially flying with his son. He was loved by all who knew him, especially for his humor and kindness. It is our earthly loss and "Bill's" been given his Heavenly reward. A viewing will be held on Friday, November 17, 2000, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Marsicano-Reed-Stowers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Orange Hill Cemetery. A special memorial service will be held for him on his birthday, November 27, 2000, time to be announced.
