Aged about 28 years.Accidentally killed in the Bellbird Mining Disaster. 21 men lost their lives. George, known as Malcolm Bailey had only been married about 9 months.

It was 41 years later before they actually recovered Georges body, and he was only recognized by the pocket watch he had on him that had been given to him by his wife. Miners had in fact been working close to his body for many years without knowing it - (Find A Grave Contributor No. 50919808)
