Wanda Potts, 69, died Sunday, October 7, 2012. Born in Hermondale, Mo., March 28, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Doss and Willie Culp. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Larry Culp.

She attended school in Holland and later earned her GED. She lived and worked in the Steele-Holland area all her life.

Wanda leaves behind her husband of 39 years, Shorty Potts; two daughters, Gayla Goodwin Mayo and Denise Goodwin, and her son, Jason Potts.

She had five grandchildren, whom she adored: Chase and Carly Kennedy, Taylor Potts and Sarah Beth and Addison Ware. She also leaves four nephews, six nieces and a host of family and friends.

Graveside services were conducted Thursday, October 11 at 1 p.m., at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele. Interment followed the services.

Pallbearers were Brian Kennedy, Andy Pritchard, Roy Wilkins, Byron Kelly, Chase Kennedy and Steven Lathi.

John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of services.
