Mr. Hollingsworth was born on July 10, 1923 in Lancaster, Kentucky to Isaac and Edith Wiggins Hollingsworth, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Hollingsworth was a welder at the Bluegrass Army Depot until his retirement, was a deacon and elder in the Christian Church, and was a member of the Madison Hills Christian Church.
In addition to his wife, Pearl, Mr. Hollingsworth is survived by: one son, Jerry Hollingsworth (Peggy); one daughter, Karen Reece (Curt); three grandchildren, Shane Reece, Chad Reece, and David Hollingsworth (Serena Conger); one brother, Haskell Hollingsworth (Ann); one honorary granddaughter, Lisa W. Culton; several nieces and nephews; and his dog Jack, his special companion of the last eleven years.
