L B Franklin was born on November 12, 1940, the eldest of 11 children born to Lonnie B Franklin and Cloe Lucille (Thompson) Franklin.
He was a former Mayor of South Carthage; a long-time Sunbeam Bread route man; former co-owner of Sunshine Laundry and Highway 25 Carwash; as well as co-owner of Carthage Mini-Storage and Apartments.
He was 73 years old and a resident of Tanglewood, Tennessee when he passed away on November 26, 2013.
L B was preceded in death by siblings Kathy Evyone (Franklin) Moss, Buford "Clyde" Franklin and Pamela Sue Franklin, while survivors are a son; a daughter; seven siblings; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his female companion; and his special caregiver.
Burial was in Gene Butler Cemetery in Brooks' Bend.
