Mr. Charles G. Hubbard, 84 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Carolina Inn Assisted Living Center in Fayetteville.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Cokesbury United Methodist Church, officiating will be Rev. Debbie Matthis and Rev. Tommy Honeycutt. Burial will follow at Fisher Cemetery in Stedman.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the funeral home in Stedman.

Charles was born in Stedman to the late Edward Mitchel Hubbard and Nannie Averitt Hubbard. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his siblings, Earl, Marcus and Leonard Hubbard, Louise McPhail, Billy, Bonner, and Douglas Hubbard.

Charles was a longtime faithful member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and a Sunday School Teacher throughout most of his life. He also enjoyed being a member of the Model A Club and was a retired Examiner with the United States Postal Service.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Terry Hubbard of Fayetteville, Gary Hubbard of Stedman, and Larry Hubbard & wife, Joyce of Stedman; his grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Bridges of Raleigh and Sudie Blanton of Durham; brother, Johnny Hubbard of Fayetteville, companion, Helen Autry of Stedman; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
