MARSHALL – Nina Mae Worley Henderson, 87, of Marshall, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 at Mission Hospital.
Mrs. Henderson was born September 20, 1926 in Madison County. She was a member of Lower Big Pine Baptist Church. Nina graduated in 1945 from Walnut High School as Valedictorian of her class. She worked at Oak Ridge Atomic Energy, graduated from Blanton's Business College and also worked for Southern Dairies and Mills Manufacturing. Mrs. Henderson was a homemaker and caregiver for her parents, grandparents and several other family members.
Nina was preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Evelyn Baker Worley; her husband, Ralph B. Henderson who passed away December 26, 1973; sisters, Ruby W. Davis, Agnes W. Randall and Judy Worley; brothers, Rom, Alvin and Wade Worley.
Surviving are her sisters, Lula Sue Ramsey, Thelma Jean Gault, Jackie Goldsmith and June Clark (Billy Joe); brothers and sister-in-laws, Carl Henderson (Jackie) and Clyde Randall; special friend and caregiver, Randy Fowler; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 in the chapel of Madison Funeral Home with the Reverend Danny Little officiating. Burial will follow in the Worley Cemetery on Big Pine.
