Mrs. Sims, daughter of Elburn Moore and Margaret Sisco, both deceased, was born April 4, 1927, in Cassville. She attended grade school and graduated High School in Cassville. She married Verlyn “Soad” Sims on February 20th, 1956, in Cassville. Mr. Sims passed away on November 28, 2020.
Survivors include: Terry Didelot, daughter, and her husband Russ of Taylors, SC; two grandsons Ben Didelot and his wife, Jess and Matt Didelot and his wife Tara; two great grandchildren Madalyn “June” Didelot and Bennett William Didelot, and close cousins, Max and Carolyn Easley.
Mrs. Sims was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Monett United Methodist Church. June was known for her beautiful handwork, embroidery, knitting, and crocheting. June’s friends and family were gifted with the many Christmas stockings, decorations, quilts and many other things that she made and shared with love.
A sincere thank you to Tammy Starchman and Glenna Brown, caregivers for both June and Soad. They showed a love and devotion to both of them that is rare.
A brief service was held on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Reverend Robert Bradow conducted the services. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville.
