Born Feb. 14, 1869, near Des Moines, Iowa, DeMoss came west as a young man.
He married Elsie Hardisty at Colfax on Oct. 24, 1899. They made their home at Grangeville until 1925 when they moved to Clarkston.
Mrs. DeMoss died in March 1951.
He married Annie Booth at Clarkston in 1945.
Besides his wife, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert Cree at Berkeley, Calif., two sons, Lee Demoss Jr., at Cottage Grove, Ore., and Roy DeMosss of Idaho Falls, a sister, Mrs. Nellie Lane of Retsil, Wash.; three grandchildren and one the great-grandchild.
