Catherine Enright was born on December 8, 1869, the feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

In 1900 she was listed on the census as a school teacher living with her parents on West Street.

The next year 32 year old Catherine married John P. Casey, a brakeman [on the railroad?] on September 10, 1901. He was from New Haven, and they settled there.

In the 1923 New Haven City Directory, John P. Casey is a gardener living at 36 Pond Street. And in the 1926 Directory with his wife Catherine they now live at 40 Pond Street.

She might have been called “Aunt Coudie” and have died in early 1944, according to the recollections of John Henry Enright’s daughter-in-law, Anne R. Mackie Enright Gustin in 1988.

Both of Catherine’s sisters, Mary and then Sarah, came to live with Catherine A. Enright Casey in New Haven when they were older and ill. She took care of her sisters until their deaths in New Haven, and burials in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
