Mrs. Hattie Rienks, 42, of rural route four, Maple Road, died at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Epworth hospital after two years' illness from heart trouble. She had been a resident of St. Joseph county for the past 12 years.
Mrs. Rienks was born in Wakarusa on November 7, 1984, living there until she came to South Bend in 1925. She was married April 27, 1927 to Gustaff A. Rienks. She is survived by her husband, three daughters Mrs. Blanche Rienks, Dorothy and Martha, and one son, Jack, all of South Bend. Stepdaughter, Mrs. Anna Carr, White Pigeon, Mich.; two stepsons, Henry and Richard Rienks, South Bend; four brothers, Walter Holderbaum of South Bend; Elmer of Chicago; Arthur of Wakarusa and Harley of the Hawaiian Islands. Three sisters, Mrs. Laura Large of Niles, Mich, Mrs. Mela Weaver of Wakarusa and Mrs. Bertha Kiefer of Bristol.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the McGann Chapel, 424 North Michigan street. The Rev. Elmer Ward Cole officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
The body may be viewed at the McGann chapel until the time of the services.
