She was born in Screven County. She was a member of Sylvania 1st Baptist Church in Sylvania and a member of the Virginia Sunday School Class. She was retired as a school bus driver, having served 21 years for Screven County Board of Education and a school crossing guard for the Sylvania Police Department.
SURVIVORS: two daughters, Joyce Ann J. Lewis and Lynn J. Freeman, both of Sylvania; a son, G.W. Johnson Jr., of Sylvania; three sisters, Lela M. Oliver of Sylvania, Gloria M. James of Statham and Shelby M. Myles of Statesboro; two brothers, Walter Mock of Sylvania and Chris Mock of Sandersville; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
SERVICE: 2 p.m. Thursday at Sylvania 1st Baptist Church, burial in Screven County Memorial Cemetery in Sylvania.
