- Mrs. A. V. Bond passed away at her home in Wapello Saturday morning at eight o'clock, death being due to a sudden attack of heart trouble. Mrs. Bond, whose maiden name was Jemima Odie, was born May 11, 1848, in Scioto county, Ohio. She was married to A. C. Bond on December 27, 1871, ten years later they came to Louisa county, settling in Columbus City township. After living there for twenty-two years, they moved to Missouri. In 1919 they bought their present home in Wapello. Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Bond, six of whom are living. They are, Tom. of Bucklin, Kansas, Will George, Lona, Sarah and Nellie, all of Wapello. Mr. and Mrs. Bond celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last December. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Christian church, in charge of Rev. T. C. McIntyre. Burial in Wapello cemetery.
