CHILD DIES FOLLOWING ACCIDENT
Three-Year-Old Johnnie Beigle Runs A Knife Blade Into Brain When He Falls
Was Rushed Immediately to a Sioux City Hospital But His Life Could Not be Saved.
Funeral Held From St. John's Church This (Thursday) Morning.
A most distressing accident occurred last Saturday afternoon which caused the death of little Johnnie Beigel, three year old son of John S. Beigel, a well known mechanic of this city. Little Johnnie while playing fell down stairs with a jack knife which was open in his hand and the knife's blade penetrated the brain just above his right eye.
He was hurried to Sioux City Saturday night shortly after the accident and everything was done for him that could be, but he passed away Monday afternoon, January 14th 1935, at four o'clock.
Little Johnnie was born the 4th day of February 1932 in Onawa. Besides his parents he is survived by one brother Wayne, and two sisters, Betty and Margaret. His grand parents, Mrs. Margaret Cummins and Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Beigel and a host of other relatives and friends mourn the passing of this little one.
Johnnie was an unusually bright and loveable child and was everyone's friend.
Funeral services were held from St. John's church this Thursday morning at ten o'clock and burial was made in the Onawa cemetery. The editor of the Democrat expresses his deepest sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Beigel in their sad bereavement.
