Martha Emily McFadden
May 16, 1938 – November 21, 2013

Martha Emily McFadden, age 75 of Monroe, died at 7:25 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013 in her home.

Friends may visit from 1 – 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Rupp Funeral Home. She will lie instate 10 a.m. Monday at Monroe Missionary Bible Baptist Church, 15543 Spruce St. (Evergreen Acres), where services will be held at 11 a.m. The church pastor, Rev. Michael Pressnell will officiate. Burial will follow at Rath Cemetery, Monroe.

Born May 16, 1938 in New Tazewell, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Andy and Flora (Russell) Miracle. She married Billie T. McFadden on December 24, 1957 in Monroe.

Emily was a member of Monroe Missionary Bible Baptist Church and "Heavens Helpers" at Grape Missionary Baptist Church.

Emily is survived by five children: Martin (Bobby) McFadden of Richmond, Virginia; David A. "Fireman Dave" (Karen) McFadden of Monroe; Billy Ray McFadden of Madison Heights, Michigan; Lori (Russell) Miracle of LaSalle; and Melissa (Matthew) Horrigan of Temperance. She is also survived by a brother, William Carson (Janet) Miracle of Winchester, Kentucky; three sisters, Margaret Esther Evans of Monroe, Mary Oma West of Monroe, and Nancy Elaine (George) DeBusk of Tazewell, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren: Mitchell (Jennifer) McFadden, Matthew (Amanda) McFadden, Mark McFadden, Franklin Romans, Samantha Romans, Isaiah (Noelle) Miracle, Jared Miracle, Savannah Horrigan, Shayla Horrigan, Caleb Horrigan, Emily McFadden, and Hunter McFadden; four great-grandchildren: Gavin McFadden, Eli McFadden, Liam Johnson, and Delilah Miracle.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers: Dewey Keller, Carl Keller, Lloyd Keller, Matthew Miracle, Evert Miracle, and Dane Miracle; a sister, Nellie Wylie; and infant great-grandchildren, Tiegan and Taryn Romans.
