Another Life Sacrificed to Deadly Cutter
Wenzel Vandershek(sic), Well Known Farmer, Killed in Cutter
Another Manitowoc County life has been sacrificed to the deadly feed cutter, Wenzel Vandershek, a well known farmer of Mishicot, suffered fatal injuries in an accident at his farm between Two Rivers and Mishicot yesterday. His death occurred almost instantly.

The unfortunate man was operating a power feed cutter and while giving attention to the machine, had his clothing caught in the fly wheel of the engine and his body was whirled about the shaft and terribly bruised and lacerated and his neck was broken.

Mr. Vandershek was 37 years of age, married, being survived by his wife and two children. He was one of the progressive young farmers of the county and was owner of a well improved farm between Two Rivers and Mishicot.

His tragic death is a sad blow to the family.Besides his wife and two children, Mr. Vandershek is survived by his parents and three brothers who reside in the Dakotas and by one brother, Joseph, who resides in Cato, this county.

With two neighbors, Mr. Vandershek was cutting feed when caught in the fly wheel of the gasoline engine his body was whirled about the shaft two or three times and then
hurled to the ground and when the other men reached him he was dead. A deep cut had been inflected on the neck and the vertebrae was broken.

Dr. Karnopp of Mishicot, who was called said the man's neck had been broken.
