Orma Lyle Duncan, 75, of Paris, MO passed away at Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Paris on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013. He was born on July 30, 1938, in Monroe County, Missouri, the son of Roy Lee and Ruby May Dougherty Duncan. He was married to Julia Gossey on May 29, 1958 and she predeceased him on Oct. 6, 2001. Mr. Duncan was a park superintendent with the St. Louis County Park Department and retired in Sept. 1998.
Mr. Duncan is survived by 2 daughters, Roberta McSparren of Paris, MO and Ruby Kelly of St. Louis, MO, 4 grandchildren, Jeanette O'Brien, Scott O'Brien, Sarah Hieple and Nicole Duncan, 5 brothers, O'Dell Duncan of O'Fallon, Lonnie Duncan of New London, Don, Dean and Dennis Duncan, all of Paris, 2 sisters, Hazel Levings and Debbie Boulware of Paris. He was predeceased by one son, Rodney Duncan, one sister, Olivia Bryant, two brothers, Orval and Owen Duncan.
Funeral services will be held at the Agnew Funeral Home in Paris at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, with Reverend Donna Scott officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until time of service on Friday. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Paris, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Monroe County Cancer Supporters.
