Eula Mae Hampton, 80, of Tyler passed away on Nov. 18, 2013, at her home in Tyler.
Mrs. Hampton, a retired home health aide, was born on June 24,1933, in Alabama City, Ala. She grew up in Gadsden , Ala. She married Aaron D. Hampton right out of school and they made their home in Gadsden, Ala. Eula worked as a seamstress. They moved to Tyler in 1954 and Eula managed the El Charro Restaurant and also worked as an egg candler for "Old Man Houser." Later in life, she worked as a home health aide. Aaron preceded her in death on July 10, 2002.
She is survived by her sons, Dallas Hampton, of Chandler, Randy and his wife Audrey Hampton, of Liberty City, Tony Hampton, of Tyler; daughter, Marilyn Alice Hampton, of Tyler; sisters, Ann Romine, of Summerville, Ga., Margie Cannady, of Atlanta, Ga.; brother, Buddy Cameron, of Gadsden, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery, 12053 Texas Highway 64 West, Tyler.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home.
