Brandon Michael Hayes, 21, of Jones Creek, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 17, 2013. He was born in Galveston, Texas, to Mary (Teri) Ramirez and Henry Hayes, Sr. on August 28, 1992.

He was a 2010 graduate of Brazosport High School in Freeport where he played varsity football and enjoyed every minute of it.

Brandon was employed at Buc-ees in Lake Jackson. He enlisted in the Air Force, but sadly he was taken too soon and he did not make it to basic training. His greatest joy was his wife and son.

Brandon had such a beautiful heart and would do anything for his family and friends. His smile would light up a whole room and he will forever be loved and dearly missed by many.

Brandon is survived by his wife, Emalee Ann Hayes; his son, whom he loved so very much, Brandon Michael Hayes, Jr., both of Jones Creek; parents, Mary (Teri) Ramirez, of Lake Jackson and Henry Hayes, Sr. of Beaumont; sisters, Bryanna Hayes, of Lake Jackson, Brittani Hayes, of Beaumont and Brittney Ramirez, of Clute; brothers, Trey Hayes, of Katy and Henry Hayes, Jr. of Beaumont; mother and father-in-law, Annie and Lee Crank, both, of Jones Creek; brother-in-Law, Trey Crank, of Jones Creek; grandmother, Catarina Teijrina; grandfather, Amos Herrera, both, of Freeport; was the proud uncle of eight nephews and three nieces, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Leola and Allen Hayes, Sr.; uncles, Manuel T. DeLeon and Allen Hayes, Jr.; and cousin, Robert Y. Villarreal, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute, with his uncle, Pastor Vincente DeLeon, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Angleton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Stroud Funeral Home on Friday, November 22, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m., officiated by his cousin, Vincente (Vinny) DeLeon, III.

Pallbearers will be Trey Hayes, Henry Hayes, Jr., Billy Rodriguez, Juan Sanchez, Matthew Villarreal, Zachary Zarate, Clay Steele and Devan Romero.

You did not get your Air Force Wings, but God gave you your Angel Wings. You will always be Emalee’s Airman.
