Anton L. Kopriva, Sr., 93, of Cameron, died Sunday, November 17, 2013, in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, at St.Monica's Catholic Church with Deacon Don Sims officiating. Burial will follow in St. Monica's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m.

Anton was born in Temple, Texas, to the late Frank Anton and Amelia (Hrachovy) Kopriva. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II in which he was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. He married Bessie Rose Macal and she preceded him in death in 1988. He retired from WilsonArt after 22 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie, in 1988; a son, Richard Roy Kopriva; a grandson, David Kopriva; and brothers, John, Joe and Frank, Jr.

Survivors include sons, Anton Kopriva and wife, Betty, of Cameron, Robert Kopriva and wife, Denise, of Temple, and Ed Kopriva and wife, Virginia, of Temple; daughters, Mary Ann Ach and husband, John, of Temple, and Rose Arthur and husband, Mark, of Holland; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Willie Kopriva, of Hanover,
Jerry Kopriva, of Temple, and Walter Kopriva, of Temple; sister, Vlasta Reed, of Daphne, Alabama; many other relatives and numerous friends.
