M. Dodge, U.S.A., commanding Department of the Missouri.
Paroled at Wittsburg, Arkansas, May 25, 1865.

Sterling Price, April, 1863, where the regiment fought in the Battle of Helena and, in the defense of Little Rock on September 10, 1863. Retreated, into southwestern Arkansas, where the regiment was consoldated with the 32nd Arkansas Infantry, December, 1863. Fought throughout the Camden Campaign and, at Jenkins Ferry, April 30, 1864. Consolidated again with Dawson's Infantry Regiment, April, 1864. Remained in service in southwestern Arkansas until surrendered with MG Kirby Smith's Army on May 26, 1865.

David & Martha owned four houses and parcels of farmland at the old homestead area, just off County Road 960, not far from the present Goobertown Store and the Antioch Church.
