Mona Jackson age 56 died suddenly at her home in Lakeland, Fl on Monday November 18, 2013. She was a Harriman native and a graduate of Harriman High School. Owner of Jackson and Associates Advertising in Florida, Mona was a graduate of the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Fl. She was a talented artist and had been bestowed numerous Addy Awards for her creative concepts for the advertising industry and her fine arts ability. Miss Jackson is preceded in death by her father Claude Ernest Jackson, grandparents Roy and Bonnie Melton & uncles Elbert and Johnny Melton.

Research notes: Her father died very young at 26 of an automobile accident. They lived in Braidsville, Illinois at the time. Her mom's name at that time was Mary Alice Melton Jackson. She had one sister Dina Lou Jackson.
