Mr. James Warner Baxter Sr., 74, of Tennga, passed away on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at the residence.Warner was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Pearl Wiggins Baxter; a son, James Warner "Moe" Baxter Jr.; his mother-in-law, Lena Flatters.Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Edna Baxter of Tennga; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jackie Baxter of Tennga; daughters and sons-in-law, Joann and Neil Hooker of Old Fort, Tenn., Sandra and Steve Killen, Debbie and Jerry Belcher, Lisa Baxter, Sharon Baxter, all of Tennga and Jennifer Baxter of Atlanta; grandchildren, Sara Hooker, Emily Everett, Dana Belcher, James Belcher, Haley Bagley, Michael Baxter, Sydney Killen, Samuel Killen and Katherine Baxter; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Russell and Barbara Flatters of Tennga; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Donna and Noble Mantooth of Crandall, Janie and Ray Wilson of Griffin.Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with his son Michael Baxter officiating. A private family graveside burial will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m.Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mr. James Warner Baxter Sr.
