Eugene Fenske, 85, of Pierce City, died at 3:15 p.m. November 5 at Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett.
Mr. Fenske was born August 23, 1923, in Wentworth, the son of Toney and Anna Jasumback Fenske. He was a retired carpenter and farmer. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City.
He married Wilma Miller on May 2, 1945, in Pierce City, and she survives.
Additional survivors include one son, Tom Fenske of Verona; two daughters, Linda Fenske of Wentworth and Virginia Lavigne of Monett; one sister, Wilma Schiska of Pierce City; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jim Fenske; and two sisters, Emma and Florence.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, November 8, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City with Father Daniel Robles officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Wessell Funeral Home of Pierce City.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. today, November 8, at the funeral home with visitation to follow.

Funeral Mass for Eugene Fenske, 85, of Pierce City, who died November 5, was held at 10 a.m. November 8 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City with Father Daniel Robles officiating.
Music was provided by the church choir which sang Be Not Afraid, Prayer Of St. Francis, Precious Lord Take My Hand, One Bread One Body, and How Great Thou Art. Organist was Mary Ryder.
Lector was Jerri Jasumback. Offertory gifts were by Mary Osterloh and Wilbert Fenske. Euchristic ministers were Ron Fenske, Mary Abramovitz, and Paul Abramovitz.
Casketbearers were Jeremy Fenske, Matt Fenske, Leonard Fenske, Jeremy Fortin, Jim Velten, Ralph Abramovitz, Dale Jasumback, and Phillip Jasumback.
Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Wessell Funeral Home of Pierce City.
