Lewis "Tag" Banks, 61, Country Club Road, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, march 18, 1984, at Dukes Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Peru on December 26, 1922, to Cecil and Lola Townsend Banks. His father survives in Peru. He married Daisy Ramsey on September 19, 1945, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Thomas, Rt. 2, and Ronnie, Peru; one brother, Cecil Jr., Peru; one sister, Mary Ramer, Peru; and nine grandchildren. One daughter is deceased.
He was self-employed in construction; His siblings are: Cecil Banks Jr. (1924-2010) and Betty M. Banks Ramer (1926-2008). He lIved in Peru, Miami County, Indiana all his life.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home with the Rev. Cannus Sparks officiating. Cremation will follow and the ashes will be buried at Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was a devoted husband, brother, father, and grandfather.
