Early Life: Born in Cwmavon, Monmouthshire, Wales, with twin sister, Mable.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: After coming to the United States from her native Wales, Alice married Carlo E.R. Klitgaard on June 23, 1934. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on December 3, 1934. She loved the United States and became a citizen. She worked at Primary Children's Hospital and enjoyed working with her sisters there. Alice was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She held various positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including Primary teacher and visiting teacher for many years. She loved to knit and crochet. Alice had a special, sweet spirit, a kind heart and was very proud to be a twin. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. Alice Forward Klitgaard passed away August 21, 1997, at the home of her daughter in Woods Cross, Utah. She was 94 years old.
Survived By: Her children: Carlo Dean Klitgaard (Janice), of Solvang, CA; Ned Klitgaard (Kaye), of Woods Cross; June Torkelson (Bob), of Woods Cross; her twin sister, Mable Biggs, of Spanish Fork; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
Preceded In Death By: Her husband, Carlo; her parents, one grandchild, six brothers and three sisters.
