Bobby G. Dalton, 64, of Roanoke, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. He is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Nowlin Perdue, of Salem, Va. Bobby was a devoted husband to Kimberly Dalton for 28 years. He had a deep love of God and the Pentecostal Church. He served in the Army during the Vietnam era. Bobby was a modern-day pirate that loved the seas, sailing, and adventure. He loved to tell stories as anyone that knew him can attest. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Dalton; father and his wife, Cecil and Marie Dalton; mother-in-law, Margaret Anderson; sister-in- law and her husband, Keely and Mark Richardson; brother-in-law and his wife, Jack and Sara Anderson; sister-in-law and her husband, Marlee and James Kauffman; niece and her husband, Lacy and David Cooper; niece and her son, Emily and Robert Dietrich; niece, Kimberly Richardson; nephew, William Richardson; and numerous other family members and friends. He will be greatly missed. "Pirates never grow old." Funeral Services be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. James Pentecost officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2011, at Oakey's South Chapel.
