Loretta Leonard Holden Wells, 73, of Shallotte Point, NC passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, November 16, 2013. Born in Shallotte Point on May 26, 1940, she was the ninth of eleven children of the late Robert "Bob" and Priscilla Watts Leonard. Loretta was preceded in death by six siblings, Eula Hewett, Robert Leonard, Mary Powell, Louise Bennett, Lizzie Hewett and Barney Leonard. Surviving are her husband Wayne Wells; a son, Stan Holden an wife Cindy; two daughters, Missy Holden Milliken and husband Jamie, Kimberly Holden Cochran and husband Rockey; grandchildren, Amber, Emily, Amy, Joseph Holden, all of Shallotte; two sisters, Jackie Hardee and husband Kendall of Shallotte, Alberta "Doot" Dixon of Goldston, NC, and a special sister-in-law, Nancy Driver of Wilson, NC, along with many special nieces and nephews that were close to her heart.
