Mr. Theriot was born in Gueydan, Louisiana and lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for many years. He was a graduate of Tulane University and a member of the Pass Christian Yacht Club in Pass Christian, Mississippi.
Survivors included five sons, Alfred J. Jr., Henry R., John Warren, David Lance and Paul John Schlesinger Theriot; four daughters, Marie L.T. Tortorich, Judge Alicia Jeannette T. Knoll, Adrienne Ann Theriot and Jeannice Y. Theriot Spangenberger; a brother, Dr. J. Roy Theriot Jr.; three Sisters, Adeline McEnery, Elizabeth Griffith and Francis F. Fischer; 24 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A mass was said at the St. Ann's Catholic Church, 4920 Transcontinental Drive. Burial was in the Garden of Memories. Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
