Lucille L. Nischke, 92, of Kewaskum, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009, at Cedar Lake Health Care Center in the town of West Bend.

She was born on October 31, 1917, in Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Catherine (Rubin) Schommer, and on September 28, 1936, she was united in marriage to Harold Nischke at St. Mary's Catholic Church in South Milwaukee. Harold preceded Lucille in death on August 21, 2001.

Lucille was employed by Regal Ware, Inc. in Kewaskum for over 40 years and was a member of the 25-Year Club. She was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church in St. Kilian.

Those Lucille leaves behind to cherish her memory include two children, Lawrence "Buzz" (Joan) Nischke of Dundee and Geraldine "Geri" (Barry) Murre of Kewaskum; a son-in-law, David Brown of Fond du Lac; a sister, Frances Beck of Iron Ridge; a brother-in-law, Harold Perkins of Kewaskum; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Schommer of West Bend and Delores Schommer of Berlin; 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lucille was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Brown; two sisters, Eileen Perkins and Marcella (Irvin) Kleineider; four brothers, Louis (Jean), Clarence (Sylvia), Marvin and James Schommer; a brother-in-law, Alex Beck and an infant grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lucille was held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at St. Kilian Catholic Church, N189 County Road W, Campbellsport (St. Kilian). Father Neil Zinthefer officiated and burial followed in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends called on Thursday at the church from noon until the time of Mass.
