Ernest M. Martin, 78, a lifelong resident of this community passed away at about 9 o'clock Tuesday evening after having been in failing health for sometime. Mr. Martin, son of Thomas and Hepsibah Elizabeth Smith Martin, was born on the Martin farm south of Brook. He was a farmer and lived there until he retired and moved to Brook in 1946.

February 14, 1916, he was united in marriage to Estella May Sage. Mr. Martin was a member of the Brook Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held at the Hershman and Weston funeral home on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial will be made in Riverside Cemetery.
