Mrs. Virginia Lee Harley, 59, of Frederick, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, at her home.

She was the wife of the late Roy Francis Harley Sr.

Born Dec. 7, 1943, in Frederick, she was the daughter of Sophia B. Brice Fultz of Frederick, and the late William R. Fultz.

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and doing crossword puzzles. She had been employed as a waitress for many years at White Star in Frederick.

Surviving in addition to her mother are two children, Lori Smith and Brenda Shaw, both of Frederick; five stepchildren, Roy Harley Jr. and wife Diane of Frederick, Warren Harley of Brunswick, Perry Harley and wife Debbie of Walkersville, Barbara Smith and husband Edward of West Virginia, and Diana Milburn and husband Larry of West Virginia; four grandchildren, Heather Barnes, Ervin Barnes Jr., Christian Barnes and Kelly Metal; three brothers, James Fultz of Martinsburg, W.Va., Charles Fultz of Thurmont and Morris Fultz of Frederick; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Harley and Reba Fultz; and her first husband, Robert Smith Jr.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 15, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Capt. Andy Gilliam officiating.

Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
