On Thursday, November 14, 2013, Norma Ford of Stamford, Texas passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. She was 87 years old. Norma Aline Willoughby was born on May 7, 1926 in the Berry Hill community in Jones County, Texas to Theodore A. Willoughby and Barbara (Rellihan) Willoughby. Norma graduated from Lueders High School. On August 14, 1944 Norma married Charlie Ford in Avoca, Texas. To this union four children were born, Bruce, Rex, Suellen and Ted. Norma and Charlie were married for over 65 years prior to his death on February 1, 2010. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother to all her family. Norma worked as a homemaker and helped her husband with the day to day operations of farming and ranching. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lueders. Survivors include; three sons, Bruce Ford and wife Sherry of Snyder, Rex Ford and wife Cindy of Stamford, and Ted Ford and wife Tamy of Lueders; one daughter Suellen Wunderlich of Abilene; two sisters Tussie Patty and Ruby Hahn both of Stamford; 10 grandchildren; Brandon Ford, Mandy Mims, Tiffany Ford, Tara Ford, Tristan Lawson, Casey Wunderlich, Lacey LaCaze, Buddy Lowery, Trent Ford and Stacy Ford and 17 Great Grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother Bud Willoughby and one sister Faye Young. Funeral Services will be at 10:00a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Avoca Baptist Church with the Rev. Les Mims officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Creek Cemetery at Avoca under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home. Norma's loved ones will welcome friends at a visitation on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Tankersley Funeral Home 807 S. Columbia, Stamford, Texas
