Death notice from the Sept. 3, 1909 Evening Star (Washington, D.C.):

FUNERAL OF JACK MINETREE---Services Tomorrow Afternoon at the Family Home---Funeral services over the remains of John E. Minetree, whose death at the Emergency Hospital yesterday morning resulted from an accidental fall on the steps at the New Willard, will be conducted at the family home, 1458 Belmont St., tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. George McPhail Minetree, brother of the deceased, was summoned home from Atlantic City yesterday because of the fatal accident. Another brother, Joseph P. Minetree, Jr., is here from his home, Greensboro, N.C.

Five sisters of the deceased will also attend the funeral. They are Misses Elizabeth and Claudia Minetree, Mrs. H.B. Hollifield of this city, Mrs. George H. Evans of Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. Charles F. Fitts of Chicago. The interment will be in Rock Creek Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Harry Lowman, Leicester Ulrich, Ross Gravener, Carl Sanborn, Joseph Angel, and Alan Minetree."
