Article from the "Daily Chronicle" of Spokane, Washington dated 29 May 1962:
Accord Ends
Accident Suit
Attorneys reached a compromise settlement yesterday to end the trial of a $504,000 lawsuit against the Washington Water Power Co.
The settlement terms reached in the action brought by Mrs. Evelyn Bergman and her son-in-law, Joseph W. Sullivan, were not disclosed as Judge Raymond F. Kell dismissed the Superior Court jury that had been hearing testimony.
The case stemmed from a Stevens County accident in 1960 in which Mrs. Bergman's husband, Frank, was electrocuted and Sullivan suffered shock and burns.
Testimony presented during the trial was that the two men were trying to dislodge a squirrel from an aluminum pipe and that, as the pipe was tilted up on one end, it struck a high-voltage wire.

Children:
(1) Barbara Jean Bergman
(2) Steven Newton Bergman
(3) Richard Frank Bergman.
