Matthew received his formal education at A.C.T.S. High School in Attala Co. Mississippi. Matthew was employed by Allis Chalmers in the position of a heater until retirement. Matthew enjoyed sport, gardening, and family gatherings.
Matthew accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was a member of the Northside Church of God where he served as an usher until his health no longer allowed.
On August 19, 1950 in the city of Milwaukee, WI. Matthew Nash captured the heart of the lovely Kathleen Gladney and unto this union five children were born.
on the morning of May 10, 2000 the angel of silence sealed the lips of our loving husband and father. His soul winged it's flight from this world of pain and sorrow and death to a land of eternal rest.
Matthew was preceded in death by parents Houston & Catherine Nash; sister Neila West; brothers, Grady, Curtis, J.D. and Samuel Nash; daughter-in-law Sheilah Nash.
He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory a loving wife, Kathleen Nash and beloved brother, James (Willie Mae) Nash of Milwaukee, WI. Five children Patricia (Johnson) Owens, Robert H. Nash, Michael Nash, Joseph Nash, Natasha (Ralph) Ward all of Milwaukee, WI. Seven grandchildren, Michael D. Nash, Robert Ceree Nash, Eshekiah (Lawrence) Winters, Jarvis J. Nash, TeAngelo M. Ward, Katherine M. Nash and LaDarius R. Ward. Five great-grandchildren, Krustal, Askekelon, LaQuise, Shammaia and Lawrence, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends who will remember him always.
