Marie Sarah Larson, 105, of Janesville, was the daughter of Dr. Ivan and Nora (Kindschy) Hensel. Her family moved to Waupaca, WI, in 1920, and she graduated from Waupaca High school in 1926. Marie was employed for 15 years by First National Bank in Waupaca. She married Gordon E. Larson on February 11, 1937. They moved to Janesville in 1941. She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 69 and served as organist for them for many years. She was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church and sang with the Noteworthy Singers. Marie's hobbies included wood carving, music (she played the piano beautifully) and word puzzles. She enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers games plus PGA golf, especially Steve Stricker. Marie kept a daily diary for the last 40 years and was admired by anyone who met her. Marie is survived by her son and his wife; granddaughter and her husband; two great-grandchildren; step grandson; and step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
