FAIRFAX - Betty Mae Bordeau, 85, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013.

Betty was born on Nov. 26, 1927, in Bolton Flats, the daughter of Hosea and Sara (Hadley) Hovey.

On Feb. 4, 1950, she married Robert Bordeau in Fairfax.

Betty had worked for the U.S. Post Office for 15 years.

In addition to her husband, Bob, of over 63 years, she is survived by her children, Debera Rooney and husband, George, of Sevierville, Tenn., Shelly Howard and husband, William, of Richmond, and Rob Bordeau of Milton; grandchildren, Chad, Jesse, Max, Megan, and Holly; several great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Abair and husband, Raymond; and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Betty's wishes, Betty was buried privately in the Sanderson Corner's Cemetery on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013.
