He was born June 9, 1898 in Noctor, Kentucky, to George & Alice Wright, and moved to Youngstown in 1921. He had been an engineer for 47 years for the P & LE Railroad, retiring in 1964, and was a charter member of the Youngstown First Church of the Nazarene.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, 3 sons, 4 daughters, 27 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
His funeral was held August 1, 1981.
My grandpa loved growing things. He always had a big garden. He also liked to cross-pollinate roses creating the most beautiful colors. He was a great man of God and is missed by many. (written by his granddaughter Debbie)
