KERRVILLE — Services for Stanford White, 87, of Kerrville, who died Monday in a Kerrville hospital, will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Born Oct. 9,1906 in Willow City, Mr. White had been a resident of Kerrville since 1930, formerly residing in Fredericksburg. He was employed by the City of Kerrville Sanitation Department and operated the City Farm for 29 years. He was also an ordained minister. He was a member of the Calvary Apostolic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lettie Palmer, in 1986, and a son, Dwight White. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bernice Lucio of Austin; Mrs. Lola Mae Giffen of Grapevine, and Mrs. Flora Oatman of Kerrville; a son, J.W. White of Blanco; a step-sister, Mrs. Doris Gray of Austin; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and three great- great-grandchildren. Grimes Funeral Chapel in Kerrville is in charge of arrangements.
