Lura Pearl Roney was born in 1896 to Azel Irwin Roney and Martha Elizabeth Walton. She was raised in downstate Illinois and married Millard Fillmore Crubaugh on 29 Sep 1920. They had three children: Millard Fillmore "Jerry" Crubaugh (b.1927), Leonard Wayne "Bud" Crubaugh (1929-2001) and Gene Edison Crubaugh (b.1931). Lura's first husband, Millard, died on 21 Aug 1950 and she married Athol Boswell in 1954 in Peoria, IL. He died in Oct 1975 and she never remarried after that.
