She graduated in 1984 from East High School where she was active in the marching band, the National Honor Society, and class trips. Darla then graduated from the Saint Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in 1987 and then worked within local healthcare facilities. Interests included animal welfare, wildlife observation, football (Go Steelers!) and music. She was a member of the Erie Zoo, the Erie Humane Society, and Best Friends Animal Society.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James Priester.
Survivors include her husband Dean Bilotti; a step-son, Andrew Bilotti; sister-in-law, Gale Ward, husband Tim; a nephew, Ryan Ward, and his daughter, Zoe; and her beloved pets.
