November 6, 2013 in her home. She was born on November 29, 1920 in South Bend, IN to the late Michael and Theresa (Nagy) Danch and remained a lifelong resident.
She graduated from Washington High School and was united in marriage on November 29, 1944 to Joseph L. Horvath who preceded her in death on May 20, 1970.
Elsie Horvath is survived by her daughter, Elsie Ann Nemeth of South Bend, IN; son, Joseph L.(Lois) Horvath of Osceola, IN; two grandchildren, Andy (Elizabeth) Nemeth of Granger, IN, and Carey (Missy) Nemeth of London, England; six great grandchildren, Allyson Nemeth, Nicole Nemeth, Jack Nemeth, Luke Nemeth, Lily Nemeth and Jasper Nemeth; and sister, Evelyn Szucs of South Bend, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law Dr. Andy Nemeth, and three brothers, Elmer, Michael and Alfred Danch.
Elsie Horvath was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She generously helped others throughout her life in a gentle and kind way and, thus, led by example. Elsie's steadfast faith allowed her to trust in herself and never give up. Her courage and resiliency to deal with daily challenges surpassed comprehension. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
