Stephen was the sixth of ten children born to William and Isabella Harvey Mansur. He married Hannah Felt, daughter of Peter Felt of "felt hat" fame, and Lucy Andrews Felt, in Temple on Dec. 6, 1798.
Stephen and Hannah had the first seven of their twelve children in Temple before removing to Ludlow, VT in 1812 where the rest were born. They removed to Wilton in 1832 and lived there untill death. The House of Mansur has a picture of Steven in his later years and a sketch of their home in Wilton between pages 32 and 33.
They were laid to rest in the South Yard Cemetery with other Mansurs.
