The community was shocked on Friday the 12th, when it was reported that Mrs. May Hose was found dead in her bed that morning by her eleven year old daughter. Neighbors were at once summoned and the coroner, undertaker and police were phoned for, also relatives in Montana and Washington were telegraphed. It has been known for some time that Mrs. Hose was a sufferer from heart trouble, and she was planning a trip to Washington and Iowa in hopes of benefitting her health. The end came very unexpected, as she was out to the Women's Institute on Thursday afternoon, and was apparently in her usual health. The funeral services were conducted by Mr. Dothewaite Sunday at 10:30 a.m., from her home, and the remains were laid to rest in the Bowden cemetery, beside her husband, who preceded her less that eleven months ago. A daughter, eleven years old, several brothers and a sister in the States, are left to mourn her loss.
