Kathleen Homan Byars died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, peacefully at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Service: 10 a.m. Monday at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. "Kathy" was born in Dayton, Ohio, and relocated to Arlington with her family at the age of 12. She attended Sam Houston High School and after starting her family worked her entire career in commercial real estate management. All who knew Kathy loved her dearly. Survivors: Husband, Larry Byars; children, Cheri Paroulek and her spouse, Clint, Chasity Frazier and her spouse, Phil, Kevin Cantu and fiancee, Melissa, Brandy Byars and her spouse, Rornelius, and Ryan Cantu and his spouse, Rachel; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers, Michael and Rocky Homan.
