Carolyn D. Boeve, 94, of Holland, died Thursday, October 4, 2012, in the Inn at Freedom Village.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Fred Rutgers in 1986, and Edward Boeve in 2008.

Carolyn was the daugh­ter of Arie and Ada Ter Haar.

She was a member of Christ Memorial Church where she formerly taught Sunday school and was a member of the Circle Meeting. She was also for­merly a member of the Woman's Literary Club.

She worked as a book­keeper for Marsilje Travel Agency and retired from Northern Fibre.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, Del and Linda Rutgers of Ellington, FL, David and Joan Rutgers of Holland; four grandchildren; four great-­grandchildren; sister, Jean and Gus Van Den Berge of Holland; in-laws, Bernice Ter Haar of Florida, Julia Bosch of Allendale, Cora Dykema of Holland, Con and Donna Boeve of Hol­land, Homer and Mari­an Barber of Holland, Ed and June Barber of Hol­land, Jeannette Barber of Grand Rapids.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oc­tober 6, 2012, in the Chapel of Christ Memorial Church, 561 Graafschap Road, Holland with Rev.Edwin Mulder officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Christ Memorial Church. Please use entrances D and E.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland. The family is being served by Lange­land- Sterenberg Funer­al Home
